Claire Conger

I am a journalist and recent University of Oregon alumnus. I studied French and journalism; a combination that allowed me to immerse myself in written and spoken language.

I spent my 3rd year of college studying in Paris, France at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (SciencesPo) where I took journalism, urban sociology, humanities, and French classes with students from around the world. This was an incredible opportunity to grow and study alongside students with diverse experiences and perspectives, and a similar passion for languages, cultural immersion, and journalism.

I will be in France from the fall of 2025 to the spring of 2026, where I will serve as a language teaching assistant in a small city outside of Bordeaux. In addition to my work in education, I will also spend my days writing and creating content, which you can find on my blog.

In the future, I hope to continue my pursuit of journalism and written communication. Some of the subjects I am interested in writing about include profiles, urban planning, climate change, food and culture, mental health, and social justice.
